What is ZYAT?

ZYAT is a band from Tunis and the crew behind the Stoned Jam Session, a biweekly rock jam at Brasserie Bar Cycliste. The music leans stoner, psych and fusion, but the room decides where a night goes. There is no divide between who plays and who listens. You claim a ticket, you show up, and what happens in the room belongs to the room.

Where can I jam in Tunis?

The Stoned Jam Session runs every two weeks at Brasserie Bar Cycliste in Tunis. Entry is 10dt at the door. Bring an instrument or borrow the room's backline, put your name in, and play. Nihilanthos usually opens the night, and after that the stage is anyone's. The next date is on the home page.

Can I play if I am not in a band?

Yes. Most people who get up at the jam are not in a band. No set, no lineup, no plan. You do not audition and nobody checks your CV. If you play, you play. If you would rather listen, that counts as being part of it too.

How much does it cost?

Entry is 10dt at the door. Bringing verified friends earns door perks through the referral panel in the Room: one friend takes 20 percent off your entry, five make it free. Perks print on your ticket and your email.

Where is Brasserie Bar Cycliste?

Brasserie Bar Cycliste is at 36 Avenue de Londres, downtown Tunis. It is the home of the Stoned Jam Session: a bar with a stage, a backline and room to sit close. Doors and set times for each session are on its event page.

What kind of music is it?

Stoner rock, psychedelic rock and fusion are the starting point. A session has opened with a full album played front to back and ended somewhere nobody planned. The setlist board in the Room lets everyone vote on what the jam picks up next.

When is the next session?

Sessions run every two weeks. The next date, the countdown and the ticket are on the home page at zyat.bookeeni.com. Tickets are per session: each one needs a fresh claim, sent to your email.
